How to Find Books
GIL@NGCSU Library Catalog
The NGCSU library catalog allows you to locate books, journals, microfilm, videos, DVDs, and other
materials owned by the library. There are several types of searches available. Use the
Quick Search for broad searches. Use the
Keyword Search to narrow topic
searches. Use the
Exact Search to find library materials by title, author, or subject heading.
Electronic Books
The Library has access to thousands of electronic books through
NetLibrary, which you can locate through the GIL catalog. You will be prompted for the Netlibrary login when using electronic books from off-campus
NetLibrary accounts must be created on-campus. Go to the
NetLibrary page, click 'Create a Free Account' and follow the instructions.
New Books
Search for new books and other materials recently added to the Library collections.
GIL Universal Catalog
Locate materials available from other University System of Georgia libraries. Current NGCSU students, faculty, and staff may request materials not owned by the library through
GIL Express.
WorldCat
WorldCat is a library catalog for materials owned by libraries worldwide. Current NGCSU students, faculty, and staff may request materials not available through GIL Express through
Interlibrary Loan.
